The Craziness Continues

Posted by honestmummyof5 at 18:29 0 comments
Well it Thursday and more craziness......

Today my Husband is home, which is wonderful someone to help with the kids but at the same time a little stressful. He had a meeting at work yesterday with all his colleges and it didn't go so well, and they were all on the phone to each other last night and have decided to all take a sick day. I am very proud that he and his workmates are taking some action against there bosses but I also have to admit I'm a little stressed, we really cant afford for him to loose his job!
I guess we just have to wait and see.......

Mr 7 and Mr 5 are at school, Miss 5 months and Mr 18 months are enjoying a nice little nap, so we have Mr 3 being entertained with my old digital camera taking random photos of things around the house. Think it's time for me to go and get creative!!!!

Thanks for stopping by again

Who else is buggered by 4:30?
We just got home from basketball training with Mr 7 and am just about to hit the kitchen and whip up something for dinner, luckily I have left overs in the fridge from last night so it looks like sheppards pie for dinner :)

I have had such a full on day all I really want to do is lay down, but I must carry on and get these kids organized for bed, then I can relax ;)

Thanks for stopping by

Time for a cuppa ;)

Welcome

Hello everyone and welcome to my Blog!

To start with I want you all to get to know me a bit better, so grab a cuppa and if you can find 10 minutes, enjoy!

I am a Mother to 5 kids, our oldest is Mr 7, then Mr 5 then Mr 3 then Mr 18 months and lastly Miss 5 months! And even as I write this I have Mr 18 months getting into the cupboards ripping things out.....arghhhhh
This is going to be a real blog about not just the wonderful times I have with my kids but also the real times, like the 3 washing baskets full of washing that has been sitting there for 3 days and I just haven't found the time to get too and fold and put away.... And the days when I feel like just taking a break and wishing there was a pause button the on the kids!!!

I also run a small handmade business, where I really struggle to find the balance with time to run along with running around after the kids, husband and keeping the house in some sort of order!

I love my kids and they are the best thing that has even happened to me, but I have to admit there are days when I ask myself why did we do this???

So today is Wednesday and its only 10:30am and I am already stuffed, but also have soo much to do before its the end of the day for me!
I woke up at 6:30 (which is a sleep in for me) My 3 oldest greet me with "Mum can we have a cookie??" "Mum can we play on the Xbox?" "Mum can I play on your iPad?" My response was "Please boys, can mummy just have a coffee first...."
So I go to make my coffee and still "Mum, Mum, Mum.....", "Please boys just let mummy have her coffee!!!". I finally get the coffee made, go and sit outside (in the cold) and take a deep breath trying to wake myself up, wishing I could just go back to sleep........And the Mr 3 comes out demanding I get him a cookie........"Please just give me 5 minutes to finish my coffee" then the first tantrum for that day has begun!!!

So I go back inside and give Mr 7, Mr 5, and Mr 3 a cookie each (just so I can finish my coffee, but by now it has gone cold).
They then ask me if they can make there own brekky, so I say yes and that gave me moment to check my emails and catch up on facebook, 10 minutes later I walk out to find milk and corn flakes all over the kitchen floor and bench and just give out a big sigh....... But they were sitting there eating their breakfast!

Now that breakfast is finished its back to "Mum can we play on the xbox? Mum can we play on your ipad???" me, "No its time to get dressed for school!!"

"Mum I cant find my socks!" me "Well if you turn on your bedroom light you might find some!"

After 30 minutes of getting them dressed, I go and grab another coffee and just ask them to sit and watch a bit of TV for 5 minutes so I can finish my coffee then I will get Mr 18months and Miss 5 months changed and ready to take Mr3 to day care and then drop Mr7 and Mr 5 off to school and Kinder!
Nope don't even get 5 minutes, Mr3 comes outside (in the cold) with no pants on and yelling at me "that he cant find his pants"......me, you just had them on 1 minute ago......Mr3 "yer but I don't like those ones"........Argh

So I go back in to find the Mr 18months has some how reached up and grabbed the loaf of bread off the bench and all the bread is all over the floor and he has taken a bit from each piece.......Arghhh

I get it all picked up, nappies changed on Mr 18months and Miss 5 months, pants back on Mr 3 and we head out to the car, by this stage its 8:30 and I'm telling the kids to hurry up and get their shoes on so we wont be late! Mr 3 then decides to check the letter box and pull out all the catalogues that had been delivered......but they land all over the front yard. I finally have all the kids buckled in, have picked up all the catalogues off the from lawn. Mr 7 and Mr 5 and worried that now they will be late for school/Kinder.
I drive down to the day care to drop Mr3, jump back into the car, drop Mr 7 and Mr 5 off at the "Kiss and Go" and it's 8:59 as the jump out of the car...... Ahhhhh

So now I just have Mr 18 months and Miss 5 months, we have been home a little over an hour I have cleaned up all the mess that was made from before school, pj's all over the lounge room floor and also the kitchen floor, even though I tell them each morning to make sure you put your pj's on your bed.....they never to make it that far!
Mr 18 months has just started walking in the last couple of weeks and he is sure making up for lost time.....He is into everything!!!!! As i write this he is sitting in the kitchen floor pulling out tins of tuna and corn for the bottom of the pantry, but its keeping him happy and giving me time to write my fist post! Miss 5 months always falls back to sleep after the school runs in the morning, so going to try and get as much housie things done while I just have Mr 18 months under my feet!

Dose this sound like your mornings at home?

I really want to create a place where parents can read and join in and share your daily craziness.... Not just a blog about all the good stuff but also the hard times, I will also be writing about foods that kids love and hate, products that have been a life saver and those that have been a waste of money and I really encourage you all to comment with ideas, products, recipes and your experiences!

Thank-you for taking you time to sit and read this very long first Post
